Brilliant, charming, attractive, delightful (...) these are the adjectives that really describe the most ’Da Vinci Code’, the last book I’ve read, and which was my companion during my last trip. I’ve never read a similar book before. It is full of all kinds of emotions and it is a mixture of suspense, history and imagination.

The story is about the crime of Jacques Sauniére ; a person who works at the Louvre museum as a curator and who is in the meantime director of a secret organization of which Isaac Newton, Leonardo Da Vinci, Jean Cocteau were all members. Professor Robert Langdon, an expert of symbolism at Harvard University is trying to figure out this crime. Throughout the story, Dan Brown is trying to explain that there are many Christian secrets on the Leonardo’s portraits. The thing that attracts the readers is the variety of emotions, people and secret codes and the suspense of the events. Equally interesting is the story of the relation between Jesus and Marie Madeleine.

About ten million copies of this book were sold, of which 500 000 were sold in France alone. What make it more popular are the visits done to the places quoted in the book such as the Louver museum and the church Saint-Sulpice. In June, 2005 the making of the film Da Vinci Code will start by the direction of Ron Howard, and Tom Hanks will act as Professor Robert Langdon.

So if you want to experience new emotions and feelings, and if you want to learn more about history and Christianity, read this book ; you will certainly appreciate it.
